Children’s Book Publisher Collapses to Radical Environmentalist Pressure

Posted on: May 19th, 2011

Extremist environmentalists have won yet another victory for propagandizing our children in schools by forcing Scholastic Books to junk a proposed energy-themed classroom education packet that treated the subject in a more even handed mode in favor of a program that only pushes extremist enviro policies. Yes, once again, the hard-core, anti-capitalist left has won a victory to control what our kids are taught in our schools.
As we learn from Commentary Magazine, Scholastic’s energy program has been under attack from the far left for weeks. Mother Jones Magazine, The New …

The GOP’s Minority Trap

Posted on: May 5th, 2011

By 2050, America is expected to have a “majority minority” population and every vote from now until then, we can expect minorities to account for a larger share of the voting population. This is not good news for the Republican party because black Americans vote for the Democratic Party 9-to-1 and Hispanic Americans lean to the Left at a 2-to-1 clip.

Sadly, the Republican Party is doing absolutely nothing to change any of those numbers. Instead, we’re doing the same thing we’ve done for decades, which is demanding that minorities reach out to the Republican Party instead of vice-versa. That tactic hasn’t worked so far and if it works in the future, it’ll be a miracle.

The Democrats certainly don’t do that. Liberals pay off left-wing groups like the NAACP, the Rainbow Coalition, La Raza, etc to show up in the community, push left-wing policies, and call Republicans racists. This has proven to work EXTREMELY WELL.

Yet, Republicans don’t want to do it. They say they hate identity politics and so, it runs counter to their principles. However, white Republicans generally won’t go on Hispanic radio. They won’t go into the black community. That’s because they know that no matter what they say, they’ll be called racist. Black Republicans don’t want to do it either because liberals hate and fear minority Republicans, so they heap abuse on them.

How do you get around this?

You pay black Republicans to do what the NAACP does and you pay Hispanic Republicans to do what La Raza does. You do that long enough and the GOP’s numbers start to go up with minorities. It works for the Democrats and it would work for the GOP, too. If Republicans want to change those ratios, if we want to get the share of the minority vote that we deserve, we’re going to have to play the only game in town that works. If we don’t, then socialism will probably win by default no matter what else we do.

Detroit Free Press: Stimulus was an utter failure, and that’s why we need to raise the gas tax (even though MI has 7th highest gas tax in the nation)

Posted on: April 10th, 2011

A tacit admission by the Detroit Free Press that the stimulus boondoggle was and is an utter failure: Editorial: State is stuck on a road to crumbling bridges, potholes. The editorial centers on this recent news that I posted on recently: Then what was the stimulus for? 1,400 MI bridges need fixing; spans rated 13th worst

Remember this shovel ready lie?:

Back to the freep editorial:

A new federal report ranks Michigan 13th worst in the nation in the number of bridges in poor conditions, with more than 13% of highway bridges ranked structurally deficient.

Michigan isn’t alone, of course. Nationwide, “The Fix We’re In For” report, recently released by Transportation for America, found one in nine U.S. bridges in poor condition. Even so, another near-bottom ranking in the condition of Michigan’s transportation system should become a call to action for state legislators and Gov. Rick Snyder.

Is this not a tacit admission that the stimulus bill billed as an infrastructure modernization effort was in fact a failure? Oh yes – yes it is. The freeps solution? More taxes of course:

In the short-term, the only adequate fix is to raise the state’s 19-cents-a-gallon gas tax, which last went up — by 4 cents a gallon — in 1997. Any such increase must include overdue parity between gas and diesel taxes. An increase in fuel taxes is not a long-term solution, but it would buy the state time to develop sustainable alternatives, including odometer fees.

As usual, the freep has a fever and the only prescription is more taxes.

Remember that the establishment MSM knew it was a lie and kept it to themselves (this is why the freep editorial is bereft of any reference to the stimulus bill), only revealing the truth more than a year later: Brooks: Obama Told Me “Shovel-Ready” Jobs Don’t Exist Last Year

But back to the freep’s suggestion that the Michigan gas tax be bumped up. From a recent post you get the idea that this is a recurring theme: Detroit Free Press again calls for raising gas tax, neglects to mention MI has 7th highest gas tax and it’s being siphoned to other priorities. The ongoing saga of the Michigan gas tax – or the double tax since gas is taxed twice in Michigan. The establishment MSM has many times come out in favor of a gas tax increase. Ironically, these same entities were in lockstep with the government in favor of higher fuel efficiency standards that as a goal has the decreased use of… gas. Less gas use, less taxes. And then they come out and want to raise taxes to compensate. I recall a story out of North Carolina where a water reservoir was decreasing in its level to where the local government was getting concerned. They asked residents to voluntarily restrict water usage, which they did. But after a while the revenue from taxes on water usage also decreased so they jacked up water taxes significantly to compensate. Government – if you think the problem is bad, just wait for their solutions!

In any case, less gas usage isn’t the problem here in Michigan. The siphoning of gas tax revenues is. I have written about this several times before, such as these two most recent posts:

Back in May, The Detroit Free Press was crying crocodile tears over losing federal money because gas tax revenues are coming up short (Detroit Free Press: You know what? Right now is like a totally awesome time to DOUBLE THE GAS TAX! Neglect the fact that gas tax revenues have been raided for years). What they willfully neglect to tell their readers is this: MI Lacks Gas Tax Revenue Because Gas Tax Proceeds Have Been Raided For Years. Now Stand To Lose Federal Matching Money. Wouldn’t stopping the diversions raise the necessary revenues for roads? You know – like stopping the diversion from road repair to mass transit subsidies? Or the diversion of the Michigan Transportation Fund to the Secretary of State? Or to other projects? Wouldn’t that help some? Or rooting out incompetence and corruption? Capitalist cronyism? How about scrap the prevailing wage boondoggle that keeps the cost of road projects high? Back in January of this year, when Democrats wanted to increase the gas tax, Jack McHugh had this on the subject: Gas Tax Hike Another Obstacle to Recovery

According to the American Petroleum Institute, Michigan now imposes the nation’s 7th highest state tax on gasoline, and the 13th highest tax on diesel. This is because in addition to a 19-cent per gasoline tax and 15-cent per gallon diesel tax, the state levies the 6 percent sales tax on fuel, plus a 0.875-cent per gallon tax that was originally imposed to clean up leaking underground fuel tanks, but was diverted to displace general fund money in the Department of Environmental Quality budget in one of the Legislature’s many “fund raids” in recent years.

The sales tax Michigan imposes on fuel does not go to road funding, but to general government spending, mostly for public schools. That’s why the state has one of the highest tax rates in the nation, while at the same time politicians, state transportation bureaucrats and road-builder special interests complain that Michigan will lose out on federal road money because we can’t come up with the required matching funds.

Under the proposed increase, Michigan would have the fourth highest tax on gasoline, behind only California, New York and Hawaii.

We don’t have a funding problem. We have a spending problem. We already are the state with the 7th highest gas tax. What do these editorial boards want, for MI to be #1? How is increasing the tax burden going to help the state’s economy? So here’s the simple solution to falling gas tax revenues: STOP SIPHONING THE MONEY!

UPDATE: Speaking of the freep’s tax mantra: Editorial: Be honest: Pay tax for online purchases. The honest taxpayer’s response: pass right to work and stop forcing taxpayers to fund the Democratic Party!

Q&A of Ground Zero Mosque Event at CPAC

Posted on: February 15th, 2011

Here is the Q&A of our AFDI/SIOA Ground Zero mosque event at CPAC (pictures here and videos here).

This is the segment where I made the remarks about CPAC and the Muslim Brotherhood ties that were picked up by Glenn Beck and the rabid left (minute 7:48 on the above video).

Below video is an excellent recap by Sally Regenhard on why the Ground Zero Mosque is a disgrace:

FIGHT THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUESTROSITY JOIN ME 1PM

Posted on: January 31st, 2011

THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY THURSDAY

PROTEST THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE, FEBRUARY 3
Inside the Hearings
49-51 CHAMBERS STREET 12:45 pm

WALMARTRALLY23

These are the times when you can affect change. These are the events that make a difference. Meet me downtown on February 3rd to protest the Ground Zero mosquestrosity. The appointment of the latest imam is a fierce sharia advocate and has  ties to WTC bomber co-conspirator Siraq Wahhaj, is another assault in the continuing 911 attacks on America. The Ground Zero stealth jihadists have applied for taxpayer funds to build their flag of conquest.

PROTEST THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE, FEBRUARY 3
Inside at the Hearings
49-51 CHAMBERS STREET 12:45PM
BRING SIGNS — HERE ARE SIGN IDEAS

"We just felt it was the right thing to do," Wal-Mart William C. Wertz, a spokesman for Wal-Mart on why they dropped plans for a proposed store near near a hallowed Civil War site.

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has abandoned plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. Sharif El-Gamal, are you listening? That is what it means to be "American," to be decent and compassionate. Take a page, learn what it means to be human. Withdraw the Ground Zero mega-mosque.

We are holding a protest against the Ground Zero Islamic supremacist mosque on February 3rd at the NYC Council hearings downtown to ban Wal-Mart from NYC. Please join us at 49-51 CHAMBERS STREET at 12:45PM and fight this grotesque insult.

Christine Quinn and her quisling council are spitting on the New Yorkers they were elected to represent (87% of polled New Yorkers want Wal-Mart's jobs and cheap prices, and the majority of New Yorkers oppose a mega mosque on Ground Zero). Quinn has been very vocal in her support of the mega-mosque and fierce in her opposition to Wal-Mart (nuts). The NYC Council declared December 14th "Hate Wal-Mart day." Has the NYC Council declared "hate Jihad day" or "Hate Islamic Ethnic Cleasning Day" or "Hate the Islamic Slaughter of Christians, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs Day"? Hate Wal-Mart day — this is insanity. Please join us in this protest.

In an interesting turn in the Ground Zero mosquestroisty attack, Wal-Mart has withdrawn plans to build a store near a hallowed Civil War site. Ground Zero is the "nerve center" in the Islamic war on the West; the 15-story Mecca mosque on the Hudson should also be withdrawn, and NYC government should be working to that end, not to ban Wal-Mart from our citizens. The recent release of e-mails revealed a close relationship between Mayor Michael Bloomberg’s office and the Islamic supremacist mega mosque, Cordoba. Ninety pages of e-mails going back to 2009 show that Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf and his wife Daisy Khan relied heavily on Bloomberg and City Hall for help, support, advice and assistance as they moved forward to build a 15-story mega-mosque on Ground Zero.

Wal-Mart drops store plan near Va. Civil War site Yahoo news (hat tip Robert)

ORANGE, Va. – …. Wal-Mart Stores Inc. abandoned plans Wednesday to build a Supercenter near a hallowed Civil War site where Robert E. Lee first met Ulysses S. Grant on the field of battle in 1864.

Attorneys for the world's largest retailer announced the decision in court on the eve of a trial that would have put Pulitzer Prize winning historian James McPherson on the witness stand. He was to testify that a portion of the site 60 miles southwest of Washington, D.C., was a "nerve center" for the Battle of the Wilderness.

Wal-Mart, which had weathered two years of criticism by preservationists over the site, did not elaborate on its decision to withdraw plans for the store one day before the trial was to begin.

"We just felt it was the right thing to do," said William C. Wertz, a spokesman for the Arkansas retailer. He said the company would seek another location in Orange County and compensate the county for its expenses in defending its decision to approve the store.

[...]

Burt P. Flickinger III of Strategic Resource Group said it is rare for Wal-Mart to back away from a store once it has researched a location and settled on a site. [...]

"To the company's credit they decided to do something different," said Flickinger, who said he is a Wal-Mart shareholder.

While clearly surprised by the decision, preservationists celebrated the turnaround and said the decision signals their resolve to protect America's heritage.

"I hope this sends a message not only to Wal-Mart but to other developers that the preservation community is willing to fight for historic sites," said Robert Rosenbaum, an attorney for residents and the preservation group.

How about mega-mosque developers on hallowed ground?

"On the historic issues, we believe we would have won," he said.

The 143,000-square-foot store planned by the Bentonville, Ark.,-based retailer would have been outside the limits of the protected national park where the core battlefield is located. The company had argued the area was already dotted with retail locations and zoned for commercial use.

[...]The Battle of the Wilderness is viewed by historians as a critical point when the Civil War started to turn in favor of the North. The war ended 11 months later. An estimated 185,000 Union and Confederate troops fought over three days in the Wilderness, leaving 30,000 killed, injured or missing.

Hundreds of historians, including McPherson, filmmaker Ken Burns and celebrities such as Robert Duvall had appealed to Wal-Mart to walk away from the 50-acre property and find another place to build in the rural county of less than 35,000 people.

Where are the historians and filmmakers and celebrities appealing to Islamic supremacist developers? Hypocrites.

McPherson wrote in a summary of his testimony that Grant's headquarters and his senior leaders were encamped near the site of the proposed store and Union casualties were treated on the site or in an area destined to be a parking lot for the store.

"Among other things, thousands of wounded and dying soldiers occupied the then open fields that included the Walmart site, which is where many of the Union Army hospital tents were located during the battle," McPherson wrote.

Three thousand innocent civilians were slaughtered, jumped to their inevitable deaths. Few human remains were recovered; the people vaporized into dust.

Wal-Mart and county officials argued that no significant battles occurred on the site.

But opposition to the store was unrelenting from preservation groups, who supplied maps of troop movements and maneuvers in a region that is dotted with Civil War battlefields.

Yes, and our opposition will be relentless. We will not stop.

While preservation groups battled the store, residents and some county officials had welcomed the convenience of a Supercenter and the jobs and tax revenue it would have generated for the county.

Nobody welcomes the Ground Zero mosque except supremacists and their leftist apologists. Wal-Mart did the decent thing. The store was far removed from the actual site and still they withdrew the store.

The Ground Zero mosque is in a building that was part of the attack. It was destroyed in the Islamic attack on America, the largest, bloodiest attack on American soil. A mega-mosque there? How vile.

Please. Help us fight. Help us win. Never give up. Never give in. Never surrender. Need sign ideas?

Are there any hand-holds on the wall once we start sliding down that slippery slope of moral relativism and href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meta-ethics">meta-ethics?

id="more-39858">

style="text-align: center;"> href="http://www.uncoverage.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/David-Epstein.jpg"> class="size-full wp-image-39862 aligncenter" title="David Epstein" src="http://www.uncoverage.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/David-Epstein.jpg" alt="" width="340" height="475" />

It turns out the Columbia University professor, David Epstein,  who has been sooooooo critical of Sarah Palin, is a disgusting hypocrite of the sickest kind.  Epstein href="http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/12/09/2010-12-09_columbia_professor_is_charged_with_incest_accused_of_bedding_young_relative_for_.html">has been having sex  with his own daughter  FOR YEARS.

href="http://theothermccain.com/2010/12/10/palin-hating-columbia-professor-huffington-post-blogger-busted-for-incest/">Robert Stacy McCain of The OtherMcCain was one of many carrying the story of Professor Epstein  last week.  href="http://spectator.org/blog/2010/12/10/but-they-were-consenting-adult">His column was also carried in the American Spectator  and href="http://theothermccain.com/2010/12/15/rush-limbaugh-reads-my-blog-on-radio-makes-mrs-other-mccain-angry/">discussed by Rush Limbaugh yesterday.

David Epstein has also taught at Harvard and Stanford, and blogs at the Huffington Post on politics.  McCain reminds us that Epstein has been href="http://theothermccain.com/2010/12/10/palin-hating-columbia-professor-huffington-post-blogger-busted-for-incest/">a huge fan of President Obama and vicious critic of Sarah Palin:

In July 2009, when Sarah Palin resigned as governor of Alaska, Columbia University professor href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-epstein/palin-proves-voters-were_b_226258.html" >David Epstein wrote at his Huffington Post blog:

Palin has done what weak, self-centered people do when the going gets tough — they quit and blame someone else.

Apparently, another cause of the progressive left of which you ( and I ) may not have been aware, is the cause of “incestuous dads who have sex with their adult daughters.”   Liberals in the blogosphere are forming human defense shields around Professor Epstein and his right to href="http://www.nydailynews.com/ny_local/2010/12/09/2010-12-09_columbia_professor_is_charged_with_incest_accused_of_bedding_young_relative_for_.html">sext-message and diddle the fruit of his loins.   What’s the big deal, they ask.  She is an ADULT.

Here is just a small sampling:

href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/10/david-epstein-incest-char_n_794864.html">Huffington Post:

style="color: #ff0000;">It is kinda sick, but I think a four year prison sentence is extreme – considering they are both consenting adults. . . . /> If he is being prosecuted then so should she and anyone who doesn’t agree clearly is not in favor of equal rights for women. . . . /> They are two consenting adults. Am I missing something here? . . . /> I don’t understand how it is a crime.

style="color: #000000;">…………………

style="color: #008000;">Yes, but she is an adult, too. I do not understand the arrest. I guess incest is illegal between adults, which does not make sense.

OH.

I SEE.

A day or so later, href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/switzerland/8198917/Switzerland-considers-repealing-incest-laws.html">here from Switzerland is pending legislation to drop all laws on the books against incest, because it’s obsolete…..very few people ever get charged with incest anymore.    The point is made in the article:  so if we don’t have any murders in town for a few years, do we take murder off the books, too??

Daniel Vischer, a Green party MP, said he saw nothing wrong with two consenting adults having sex, even if they were related.

“Incest is a difficult moral question, but not one that is answered by penal law,” he said.

href="http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/15/david-epsteins-lawyer-we-_n_797138.html">Professor Epstein’s lawyer now seeks to blur  the already-fuzzy boundaries.   Why not a new class of sexually-entitled?   And oh yes, the DAUGHTER is the perpetrator.   The  ”Good Adam, Evil Eve and her damn apple” argument, except Adam is Eve’s dad.

Epstein’s lawyer, Matthew Galluzzo, gave this comment to href="http://abcnews.go.com/Health/switzerland-considers-legalizing-consensual-incest-columbia-professor-accused/story?id=12395499&page=1" >ABCNews.com:

“Academically, we are obviously all morally opposed to incest and rightfully so,” Galluzzo said. “At the same time, there is an argument to be made in the Swiss case to let go what goes on privately in bedrooms.””It’s OK for homosexuals to do whatever they want in their own home,” he said. “How is this so different? We have to figure out why some behavior is tolerated and some is not.”

Galluzzo also said that even though Epstein’s daughter had emerged as a victim in the case, she could “be best described as an accomplice.”

Besides the progressives who apparently feel they have “progressed” beyond those provincial “thou shall not” rules, there is Islamic shariah law to consider.  Toddler-age girls, even babies, can/should be married under shariah law and the husbands can/should have sex with them.  href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2t3vfDhPTIk">(See YouTube discussion with reference to scripture.) href="http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/Quran/025-Muhammads-sex-life.htm">( Here are more links to Quran and Hadith )

href="http://islammonitor.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3921:incest-in-islam&catid=294:social-practices-interactions&Itemid=61">Marrying one’s cousin is very popular and in some Muslim sects, marrying one’s daughter is permitted.  A dirty little secret in Islamic culture, and considered a blasphemy if it is discussed, are the href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1305078/TAZEEN-AHMAD-Three-uncles-deaf-Five-aunts-died-babies-Why-My-grandparents-cousins-married.html">high numbers of genetic birth defects in Islamic communities due to high rates of incestuous marriage.

Considering the sinking moral sands where liberals and the Islamics stand, there is only one thing to know:

There is no “compromising” with people who do not share our values of what are basic, time-tested, traditional, moral foundations to society.

Those who do not adhere to societal boundaries of something so intimate and invasive to another human as sex are really not human.  They more like rutting animals – hormone-driven, godless, soulless, rudder-less, empty inhabitats of human skin.  Sex becomes a weapon, and a control.

Professor Epstein’s victimization of his own daughter, supposedly after the magical cut-off date of age 18, actually began in her childhood. He groomed her to have sex with him, misusing his sacred trust of fatherhood.  Ignoring his lifetime of access to his victim is to enable evil.  Ignoring these “boundaries” between parent and child breaks the family structure.  It pits the child against the mother, vying for the sexual attentions of father.

There is only one lesson here.   There  is no “common ground” to be found with sexual predators who masquerade as parents or religionists. We must outnumber them.  We must bring our numbers to vastly overwhelm them.  We must crush them in opposition at the polls at each and every opportunity.

Islam society and its necessary building block of shariah law does not permit our view of morality, so we permit it to grow within our borders at our peril.

What they preach what will end our society.

Update href="http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/switzerland/8198917/Switzerland-considers-repealing-incest-laws.html">Yay, Barbara.

Barbara Schmid Federer of The Christian People’s Party of Switzerland said the proposal (to drop incest as a crime) from the upper house was “completely repugnant.”

“I for one could not countenance painting out such a law from the statute books.”

Former Dept Of Defense Inspector General Calls for Vetting/ Investigation of Military Muslim Clerics

Posted on: December 1st, 2010

It is important to point out here that the 20,000 Islamic attacks since 911, each one had the imprimatuer of a Muslim cleric.

It also bears noting that lying and deceiving to advance Islam is a religious mandate. Case in point, Imam Awlaki. So, the idea that Muslim clerics in the military are being vetted by Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas group ISNA is incredulous. Is it any wonder that Fort Jihad Jihadi, Major Hasan, was an acting Muslim leader?

Stealth coup. They have all their people in strategic place.

Imam Awlaki was the go-to Muslim cleric for reporters scrambling to explain Islam after 911; he was the same imam who guided the 911 Muslim attackers to commit jihad. Al-Awaki was the "spiritual adviser" to three of the hijackers who attacked America on Sept. 11, 2001. He guided the 911 jihadis, the Fort Hood Major Muslim, the Christmas day  bomber. He was the  imam at the respected Dar al Hijreh mosque while being the go-to Muslim for big media for information on Islam. Exactly like un-indicted co-conspirator, Hamas groups CAIR and ISNA being the go-to guys for media now.

That al-Awlaki was go-to guy for the media right after 911 best exhibits the practice of taqiyya, and taqiyya should have been the focus of the Times piece. According to one FBI agent, al-Awlaki “was at the center of the 9/11 story.”

Taqiyya, or not showing their faith openly by means of pretense, dissimulation, or concealment, is a special type of   LYING that is taught and used by Shi'a Muslims, cf. Sunni Muslims and Taqiyya. "Taqiyya" (or taqiyyah) is related to the terms "taqwa'" and "taqi'" — all have the root meaning of "guarding" something, in this case, the Islamic faith.

Taqiya is required [in Islam].

EXCLUSIVE: Former Defense IG Raises Concerns About Military Chaplain Vetting  FOX

A former inspector general for the Defense Department is calling on Congress to investigate and oversee the vetting process for Muslim clerics who are nominated to serve as U.S. military chaplains.

In a letter sent earlier this month to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, former Inspector General Joseph Schmitz outlined what he believes is the potential risk to national security posed by the military’s current chaplain vetting system.

Among the concerns Schmitz outlined in his letter, which was obtained by FoxNews.com, are:

— Reports that Army Maj. Nidal Hasan, accused of 13 counts of murder in last year's Fort Hood massacre, acted as a Muslim lay leader and received training from one of the approved civilian religious groups involved with the Defense Department chaplain program.

— The identification of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), one of two endorsing agencies used by the U.S. military in its approval process for Muslim chaplains,as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terror fundraising trial.

— The naming of the ISNA's former endorsing agent, Dr. Louay Safi, as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2003 trial of Sami Al-Arian, who pleaded guilty to one count of fundraising for the terrorist organization Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Safi is also the subject of a whistleblower investigation.

“The November 2008 criminal conviction in Texas of the Holy Land Foundation (HLF) as a front for Hamas, naming of the DoD's Chaplain Endorsing Agents, the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), as an unindicted co-conspirator (among others), suggests that terrorist organizations can and do disguise themselves as charitable organizations," Schmitz wrote to Feinstein.

"The November 2009 Fort Hood massacre by a commissioned Army officer who served as a lay Muslim leader at Fort Hood demonstrates that international terrorist organizations can also try to disguise their agents as chaplains and religious lay leaders," he added.

In a statement to FoxNews.com, Feinstein, D-Calif., said:

“We recently received the letter and staff is reviewing it carefully and making inquiries into how all chaplains are vetted by the Defense Department. Certainly chaplains should be carefully interviewed and backgrounds checked, regardless of their religion.”

Christians, Jews, Hindus are not blowing people up in the name of their religion, dhimmi Dianne.

Prospective military chaplains currently are recommended to the U.S. military by outside religious organizations, which in turn select an endorsing agent who is charged with issuing and withdrawing the chaplains' credentials for the Defense Department. Candidates undergo the same fingerprinting and background check required of members of the military, but Schmitz maintains this is not an adequate screening.

Schmitz says he made a series of recommendations for vetting chaplain nominees six years ago that were not implemented by the Defense Department. In his Nov. 8 letter to Feinstein, he wrote that he had recommended that nonreligious criteria be established to justify the withdrawal or removal of a religious organization or its agent from participating in the DoD chaplain program. Examples of such criteria could include:

— Advocating the violent overthrow of the U.S. government;

— Being listed on a watch list as a terrorist organization;

— Conviction of a religious organization or its principal leaders in connection with terrorism;

— Conviction of endorsing agents in connection with any criminal activity.

He said he also recommended developing screening procedures for collecting information from sources, including  FBI databases relating to chaplains, supporting religious organizations and endorsers.

But Schmitz says his recommendations were shot down by the Armed Forces Chaplains Board, which called those suggestions “legally problematic." His account is confirmed by the department response to the 2004 report.

"Legally problematic?" Which legal system. The sharia? Surely, the constitution protects our right to preserve and defend from nations both foreign and domestic.

Defense Department spokeswoman Eileen Lainez told FoxNews.com that some of Schmitz's recommendations have since been incorporated into vetting policy.

Now, Lainez said, any individual or religious organization shall be rejected or removed from participation in the DoD chaplain program if they're under indictment; have been convicted of a terrorism-related offense or other offense threatening national or economic security; or if their name appears on the annual State Department list of Foreign Terror Organizations.

"In addition, following the release of the Fort Hood report, this policy has been under review to see if there are other additional criteria that can be included," Lainez said.

In his letter, Schmitz asked Feinsten to ask the Defense Department to take another look at his earlier, non-implemented recommendations.

Citing reports that Hasan acted as a lay leader, a sort of substitute or part-time chaplain required to undergo a vetting process similar to those of full-time chaplains, he wrote in an email to FoxNews.com:

“Somebody ought to challenge the DoD on precisely how it vets its chaplains as well as its chaplain ‘endorsing agents’ to ensure non-complicity in terrorism or criminal activities, and who, if anyone, vetted Major Nidal Hasan as a so-called ‘Muslim lay leader’ at Fort Hood.”

In his letter to Feinstein, he also argued that the 2008 Holy Land Foundation terror fundraising trial in itself should be enough to reconsider the organizations currently tasked with endorsing chaplain candidates. During that trial, prosecutors named the ISNA, among other well-known Muslim organizations, as an unindicted co-conspirator in the case that convicted a Texas charity of acting as a front for Hamas. (A court document unsealed two weeks ago reaffirms the prosecution’s stance that ISNA, among other groups, was tied to HLF's fundraising for Hamas.)

Yet, ISNA remains one of two ecclesiastical endorsing agencies used to vet Muslim chaplain candidates for the military.

ISNA did not reply to requests for comment.

Schmitz also specifically named ISNA’s chaplain endorsing agent, Dr. Louay Safi, who acted on behalf of ISNA and until recently was one of two Defense Department Muslim chaplain endorsing agents for the entire U.S. military.

Safi, who has participated in Pentagon programs since at least 2005, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 2006 Al-Arian case. (During the trial, Safi was identified as "Unindicted Co-Conspirator Four," and evidence from the case included wiretapped phone conversations between him and Al-Arian.)

Safi is also the subject of a whistleblower complaint filed late last year by a contractor who expressed concern with Safi's participation in a lecture on Islam to soldiers at Fort Hood before their deployments in the weeks after the deadly shooting there.

Safi was suspended from participating in military lectures pending the outcome of the whistleblower investigation, according to email records that were obtained by FoxNews.com. But he continued to act as one of two Muslim chaplain endorsing agents working with the Defense Department.

Until a week and a half ago, Safi’s name appeared on the DoD’s website listing of ecclesiastical endorsing agents. But on Nov. 18, a spokeswoman for the Defense Department said Safi was no longer an endorsing agent, and that a request had been submitted to change the website back in June. Safi's name was removed from the site later that evening.

When reached by phone, Safi told FoxNews.com:

"I left ISNA, I am now with another institution. I moved on to another career."

He also said that he was unaware of any whistleblower complaint or investigation.

"That's probably something you read on some blog that is not true," he said. "There was nothing — not that I'm aware of."

lol.

Something on "some blog." Yes, of course, because the blogs are the only ones reporting the facts.

4,000 Muslims Celebrate Al- Adah fest by Attacking Coptic Christians

Posted on: November 15th, 2010

Just in ……..

Four thousand Muslims are attacking Copts in Upper Egypt, Kina County. In the town of Al- Nawaed, in the center of Abu Teshet. The attackers surrounded the area, starting fires in Coptic houses while Copts were still inside.

Voice of the Copts will update you with additional details once available.

Once again the religion of peace is showing its real face.

Statement by the President on Hajj and Eid-ul-Adha

Michelle and I extend our greetings for a happy Eid-ul-Adha to Muslims worldwide and wish safe travels to those performing Hajj.  This year, nearly three million pilgrims from more than 160 countries – including the United States – have gathered in Mecca and neighboring sites to perform the Hajj rituals and stand together in prayer.

On Eid, Muslims around the world will commemorate Abraham’s willingness to sacrifice his son, and distribute food to those less fortunate - a reminder of the shared values and the common roots of three of the world's major religions.

On behalf of the American people, we extend our best wishes during this Hajj season – Eid Mubarak and Hajj Mabrour.
Where's Obama's statement to the Copts?
And I find his statement about shared values to be insulting …….  shared values? Not. Falsifying my religion and that of Christianity is not in my value system.
The mention of Abraham in Obama's mash note is particularly galling.
UPDATE: Dagny Taggart comments:
Yet again, their narrative is plagiarized and just plain wrong!  Abraham was going to sacrifice Isaac according to G-d's instruction to test Abraham's willingness to listen to G-d and heed His instruction.  G-d, in His mercy, provided a ram stuck in the thicket for Abraham to sacrifice in Isaac's stead.  This is recognized by Jews and Christians according to the Torah/Tenach/Bible/Old Testament.

Muslims pervert this verse, plagiarize and claim it as their own history with one glaring exception. Abraham's  wife, Sarah, could not conceive, without G-d's intervention, so Abraham "had relations" with Sarah's handmaid, Hagar.  Ishmael, father of all Arabs, was the issue of the elicit union between Abraham and Hagar.  He was a literal bastard. (not that it means anything to be one anymore, but it did up until very recently, historically speaking.)  The Koran has Abraham offering Ishmael, rather than Isaac, as the sacrifice, ushering in the longest sibling rivalry/grudge match in mankind's history!

The Liberal Litter Bugs on the Mall

Posted on: October 3rd, 2010

On Saturday my friends and I went to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to check out the museums and monuments and to generally revel in being American. I even got to ride the metro for the first time ever! It was very exciting, and I learned a new rule: Don’t touch anything on the subway.

It was a gorgeous day in the capitol. Seriously, It was so pretty I almost heard music playing in the background. It was also full of a bunch of people wearing purple shirts and carrying fancy-schmancy SIEU signs.

Is a $0.49 piece of poster board and a magic marker not good enough for yah?

The “One Nation Working Together” rally was Saturday, so unions and other leftest groups bussed in thousands of attendees to whine and complain that America sucks. Like one of my friends said, it’s easy to get union members to come to political events. Monday mornings roll around awfully fast, after all.

We even witnessed a couple of UAW chapter bosses checking people off a list as they saw them. It kills me that we didn’t get video.

While it was a bit crowded, it was nothing like the photos I saw from the Restoring Honor Rally, or the 9/12 March. It was obvious that the attendance was a fraction of what it was for conservative events.

Being the responsible, law-abiding citizens we are, conservatives left the lawn as they had found it: Green and clean.

The lefty liberals? Not so much. Here are just a few shots of what we saw on the Mall.

Fight the debris, Nimrod

Obama supporters did this

Poor Abe had to witness this

One Nation attendees, you should be ashamed of yourselves

What a sad day. The left can’t get people to an event without bussing them in and making sure their bosses cross their names off the list. The left can’t make their own signs, they have to be handed flashy manufactured ones. The left can’t even get people to respect the National Mall, a place that deserves reverence. The left can’t get a group of people that claim to care about the environment to, you know, actually care about the environment.

I overheard one of the attendees talking to a park ranger. “I just don’t understand,” he said, “Why is there so much trash? I heard there wasn’t any at that Beck rally … How did they do it?”

Because conservatives aren’t a bunch of whiney litter bugs with no sense of personal responsibility.

That’s how.
